Help me. Herpes symptoms but I'm not sure?

Posted , 2 users are following.

So I haven't had sex or anything in around 3 months.

Yet a couple of weeks ago i got a collection of tiny bumps around my anus. And i mean tiny like, 1mm or less. Not painful not even itchy.

So weird. Then i got one on the inside of my labia and i thought HOLD ON i should definitely get this checked out.

Aside from the appearance of the one on my labia nothing has changed about any of the spots, and all are the same colour as the surface they, re on, all tiny and with no visible open point.

I visited my GP yesterday and she had a look, said the bumps weren't traditional for herpes (which i told her i think it is) but she wasn't sure what else could come up out of the blue like this, so I'm seeing my local GUM clinic this week.

Not sure if it's because I'm worried now or added symptoms but I swear I get an itching feeling near my anus now and again today.

I'm just scared with the bumps not being classic of herpes and the symptoms being weak and in the wrong order, what does this mean?

Please I hope someone replies, has anyone had symptoms in this order? Or this uncertain?

Any new soaps? Do you shave down there? New detergents?

All can cause irritation type bumps which can be itchy..

If the bumps pop and become like little painful cuts thats how herpes usually works.

But everyone is different. I stress that so not to offend anyone who has had different experiences.

If it does go away on its own the best clue for you would be if it returns thatd be the best clue as to what it could be.

Initial outbreaks are usually really bad but theres some people who dont even have outbreaks so its so hard to tell, ive had doctors tell me for years what I had was BV or thrush and even blood tests/swab cultures not positive until I finally had blood test ran while having an outbreak did they finally catch it three years later. >.<

Its a pain and worrying makes it worse.

You should always have a doctor look while symptoms are present to out yourself at ease.

Also before bumps appear and at the beginning its more of a tingle quick itch type feeling that fades fairly quickly once blisters appear and pop fairly quickly they become painful, especially if urine touches them.

Id suggest if not already: going pantiless around the house and loose fitting cotton panties when going out, no scent detergent, and no scent washes, no shaving, try and see if it helps, herpes outbreak lasts usually around 7 days.

Thank you so much for your advice! Been googling myself senseless trying to figure out what's wrong, didn't realise it could be something as simple as shaving or soap irritation. I'll be much more careful with what i use from now on. Still going to get checked out while my bumps are here though, just to be safe.

Thank you for putting me at ease, you angel!
