Help needed

About a month ago I was diagnosed with HSV1 after a horrible first OB which made me very miserable.

Last week I came down with a cold, and now I am suffering with a very severe OB again! It is making me seriously stressed and miserable, the doctor told me that as it's type 1 I shouldn't get as many outbreaks, but it's barely been a month!

I am looking for any advice as to how to deal with HSV1 outbreaks and prevent them. I was also wondering how often other type 1 sufferers have OBs?

Any help would be appreciated, I am only 19 and have only had one partner so this is awful for me.

      Hi Princess,

I took aciclovir for my first OB which seemed to help but this is only my second now and I am not taking anything for it.

I hate when doctors or anyone gives false hope. There really is no telling what someone's immune system response is going to be, due to how unique each of our immune systems are and our life styles. Soak is Epsom salt baths as much as possible. Daily probiotic is the only thing that has made a difference for me, after trying every method out there on herpes. I take daily, 3xs the daily dose of vitamin C, zinc and vitamin B complexes and calcium.
