Help please

Hey I need some insight or advice, I was sexually actively with a hsv1 positive person without them telling me (protection was used every one of the 3 times except for oral which he did twice) , fast forward to may I went and got my blood test done and the results for the IGM test were 1.0 equivocal literally no more than a week later with heavy stressing over if this means positive or not I started to feel weird in my vagina and mouth then I started to play close attention to my vagina looking almost every day with the flash light and mirror and I started to see a red sore but it would come and go and it does have a pain along with it, sharp pain. The corners of my mouth would also tingle but I bough lysine for it. I went to the obg the other day and she said she doesn't see anything and they did more blood tests, (I AM FREAKING OUT) today I am feeling those same sharp pains and when I looked I saw that same red spot can someone please tell me if this is herpes?, can a equivocal result go back to negative ? I'm thinking about ending my life at the moment I really need help

    Hello only the doctor wouldn't be able to tell if you have herpes I have it myself yes it's possible that it can go back to negative please don't let herpes ruin your life I thought about it to but it's not worth it.

      What do you mean the doctor wouldn't be able to tell? Or am I reading it wrong

      What do you think of the red spot coming and going ?

    The IgM test is unreliable and inaccurate. The results should be ignored and the test not even ordered for herpes. This is according to the CDC and leading HSV experts. Google it yourself. The only valid mainstream blood test is the one for IgG at 3 months post-exposure. So, you are freaking out over a worthless test plus you have no real symptoms, besides which HSV1 is *very* common and often asymptomatic (2/3 of the population carry it somewhere). If you are not relieved by any of this information and still stressing disproportionately, please seek counselling.

      Yes the igm was for hsv 1/2 with the 1.0 equivocal result

      They did a igm test for hsv2 and that result was 0.01 negative

      Sorry they did igg for hsv2 and that result was 0.01 ***

      This was 3 months post possible exposure

      Possible exposure end of January beginning of feb

      Got tested mid May

      About 12-16 weeks post

      Herpes doesn't come and go quickly. If what you are observing is there one day and gone the next day or so, then back again soon afterwards, etc., that's not typical of herpes at all. A first outbreak of gHSV1 is usually pretty nasty as well, compared to gHSV2, so if you're symptomatic, you would know.

      Seems to me that your anxiety has gotten the better of you and is causing overly heightened body awareness and possibly even psychosomatic symptoms. If you look too much, too often, you will find things to freak out about, so try to relax and remain only casually vigilant.

      This morning I looked and I see something looking like a bump but doesn't hurt when I touch it ?

      Herpes typically feels sore if touched or rubbed. Did it not occur to you that these new sensations you reckon you have could be due to something else? Because nothing you have said screams herpes, not even your test results. There are many other things that can cause vaginal discomfort and whatnot.

      What else could it possibly be ? I had an encounter with a hsv1 pos person, everything else was negative.

      What's the most accurate test to have done for herpes ? Because apparently my doctors didn't even end up testing me for it they tested me for everything else I didn't ask for, I am so upset but I have to go another weeks or so worrying ?

    The antibiotic shot didn't make the herpes go away no but I did had it hurt when I pee it helped just that. If you feel like bugs are crawling down there to then it is herpes 99% chance no one here really knows what herpes is unless they have it.

      I don't feel like bugs are crawling just a weird feeling sometimes and that red spot coming and going, also with my menstrual cycle i felt burning, which never happened before
