I have been taking sertraline for 3 weeks. One week at 25mg and 2 weeks at 50. Last few days I have felt awful. Diziness, headache and bad anxiety. Do I peservere or do I stop x

Hi all. Thanks for your support. I changed from citalopram 40mg to sertraline and was fine for the first 3 weeks thought I may have got away with side effects but guess that was wishful thinking. This forum and the people who are now living normal lives again give me the reassurance that I will get better just got to get through the rough bit first x thanks guys for your support x

If you are only on week 3 I really would recommend persevering. I am also on week 3. My first week was hellish. Second better. For my third week I was put up to 100mg so I’ve had a couple of bad days again. But some of the symptoms have lessened. My doctor said it really can take a month or two for your body to accept and adapt to it. If you are really struggling speak to your doctor again because they might be able to recommend another drug.

How are you getting on with the 100mg now? I've started today and slightly scared. X

I’ve been on 100 mg for 4 day’s now. I took a dip again. Not as bad as when I first started the course but noticeable. I’ve felt slightly better today although it’s 2:20am and I’m still awake... Have picked up a couple of different side effects too which I’m not too thrilled about. It took me about a week the first time round to not feel terrible so I need to assume that it’s the same here. Hopefully by the weekend...

      how are you feeling?
