Help what do I do

Posted , 6 users are following.

Specialist has sent referral to surgeon but haven't go an appointment yet (only been a week). Was in the ER last night horrible chest pains (like heart attack) pain only ever been on right but now on left side. They ruled down to gallbladder attack and gave me medication and sent me home. They said they would write letter for the surgeon.

I'm still in alot of pain what should I do now? All on left side near heart.

If the pain is still unmanageable I would take myself straight back to A&E

I understand where you are coming from, I also have two children and have ended up in A&E three times now since January, only go when it is truly unbearable. As a minimum I would go to see your gp today so that the continuing pain is on your medical records and he may be able to prescribe something that will help to ease the pain. Hope you start feeling better soon x

If you are in alot of pain , do go to the ER and get checked out and you said the pain was on your left side,I am by any means a doctor ,but, im thinking this could be heart related not gallbladder. Please get checked out to ensure your well being.

So I have also gone from going 3-4 times to toilet a day for months to not going at all today is day 3 and with the pain etc could that mean a stone is stuck. How long does it take for infection to set in?

Stef, I don't think you'll stop going to the toilet because you have a stone.  It's very concerning--please don't gamble that you could just get an infection. It could be serious, and if you put off going to emergency too long it might result in something you might not be able to recover from.  Please go to emergency and let us know how you do!  Wishing you the best, always!
