My sleep pattern was never great but the last two night have been bad. Iam 7 weeks post op after a full hysterectomy. Can any one help or is it because Iam not on hrt? Any advice would be great. Thanks 😏

I am 8 weeks post op from a partial hysterectomy, and my sleep was never great either, but is even worse since the op.  I resorted to taking herbal Nytols bought from the supermarket, at night (2 is the suggested dose) and I find I can get about 6 hours sleep.  If I do wake in the night, I easily go back off to sleep.  Part of my problem is that I am still having to sleep on my back, which is not natural to me.

Thanks kath I will try them. The docter did give me some sleeping tablets only light ones and they was rubbish. I've been on and off for the past 7 weeks but the last two nights are driving me mad. I need to sort myself out before I go back work in 6 weeks time. If I sleep I think i would feel better in the day my body still likes I've been in a car crash.  😏

I can only tell you how I got on with the herbal tablets, but as someone who was offered sleeping pills by the doctor, and refused them, I took these herbal ones in desparation and, for me, they work.

I do hope you can get some decent sleep soon.  There is nothing worse than sleeping badly, especially when your body really needs it after an operation.

    I noticed that too Sam!

Horrible... I know I toss and turn.. can't get comfy any more... I am a SIDE SLEEPER.. totally can't do now... I tried the pillow thing, ends up falling off/down... I flip and flop...

I did go out and buy that air fresner spray, it is to help you sleep... nice sweet, but calm, mellow scent... suppose to help you relax and sleep... It doesnt hurt.

IF all else fails... COUNT SHEEP... hee hee  smile

Try a more hard pillow that may work. I will give anything a try so I will get some. Iam going to get some nightall today someone said that can help. It's like when I go to bed Iam wide awake and I start to pain in my legs and arm  And get hot flushes ans back pain on my left side at the bottom. X

You know...that makes sense... a harder pillow... if its too soft, or med.. kinda sinks, doesn't support that part... Good idea Sam!

I think I have a firmer one in the guest room...

      I will try tonight!!  smile
