hemorrhoid?

had this lump after bowel movement for about 6weeks now, goes back inside after the bowel movement. doctor has been the picture and confirmed hemorrhoid, but why wont it shrink? tried suppositories and other treatments but hasn't really changed anything. Not had much blood at all with it, bowel movements are generally quiet hard so have to strain a little but if i didn't i wouldnt go.

i am a bad hypochondriac which doesn't help! what does everyone think?

    It certainly looks like a hemorrhoid. If your doctor looked at it, I would trust their opinion. I have similar hemorrhoids (internal, but pop out a little) and no OTC remedies help me. Even Rx suppositories did very little for me. The only thing that helps me is not straining AT ALL for a bm. I know that's easier said than done. Sometimes you have to give a little push to get started! I wait until I really have to go and only breathe and bear down. Whatever you do, don't hold your breathe and PUSH. Also, i find that if I sit on a hard surface for an extended period, they flare up, so I try to avoid that too. Good luck!
