No but paid for a private consultant who specialises in GB and he got me one through the NHS within 6 weeks.  Was never offered this before going to NHS consultants.  Showed my GB was working adequately but still getting it out as been diagnosed with biliary colic, which is much the same as it gives the same symptoms.  I believe a hida scan is expensive.  You can look up the cost by googling it, I think it was about £1000 but don't quote me on that.  So it would be wise to see the PC as the cost of that was £130.  Just my opinion though.

Hi Beth77670, I did look into this but I would have had to travel and yes £800 + is probably correct.  I looked into private health care but they exclude all previous illnesses so that also blocked me.  To be fair I have been ill for a number of years with this but it was only last year Aug that I became aware it was the Gall Bladder and not as per all previous diagnosis.  There is also a good chance with me that my Pancreas may also be unwell but there is a discrepancy between the Stenographer and the Radiologist interpretation which has now caused me to wait until Jan 19.
