It does look very similar to my initial break outs, have you been tested? I remember googling pictures and mine looked nothing like the pics online. My first outbreak were more like little  cuts rather than blisters so I was floored when the doctor said what it was.

It took a long time I was 29 when I got it so had it nearly two years now. My ex gave it me said he didn’t know but I don’t believe him. I didn’t tell anyone for a year the outbreaks were regular about once a month but they got less painful the first couple were horrendous. I thought I would never meet anyone or be able to tell anyone about it Because I was ashamed but coming on sites like this made me realise it’s not that bad and you can learn to live with it. I’ve met someone now and I told him after we had been speaking for a while and before we had sex, he was shocked but got over it. I take acyclovir twice a day and I haven’t had a break out since I started 5 months ago (touch wood) so may be worth speaking to the doctor to see what would be best for you. I have a normal active sex life and forget about it most days now. I’ve realised it’s so common and we’re just unlucky we got it, but it’s not the end of the world. It’s just a cold sore but in a different place. Talking about it to my close friends also helped. Honestly it does get easier with time x

Yes, it does look rather like herpes, but only a swab can confirm things for sure, so you should get tested asap. Failing a swab, the IgG blood test at 3 months if this is believed to be a new infection.
