Herpes

so basically i have been with my partner for quite some time now and since the first couple of months we both was experiencing outbreaks. I went and got myself swab tested at a clinic and got the news that i had herpes, over the next couple of months i had two more tests on outbreaks to which both came back negative. anyway fast forward to now my girlfriend is now 6/7 months pregnant and we know how harmful this can be to new borns so we told her midwife and she has had blood tests done which have also come back negative. is it possible my first diagnosis was incorrect? i should also note i am type1 diabetic and do suffer from thrush occasionally but the sore looked very different to what thrush usually looked like any comment on this will be very helpful thank you

swabs are pretty reliable and if u have had further tests since it is possible that its something else causing your problem

my reply totally didnt make sense 😂 sorry its been a long day so wat your saying is your first swab came back positive but further swabs was negative but your girlfriends also negative got it now i think everything is pointing towards it may be incorrect swabs are usually quite reliable tho mabe u should opt for a blood test and see what that comes up with and take things from there
