Herpes hvs2 a pretty weird and confusing story

Yes he tested for herpes, both hsv-1 and hsv-2, I'm so confused , how's that possible, but I messaged my ex, he's gonna test for herpes, but he's done sti test before and he's safe. I need help, thanks for reply

sti test won't detect herpes , when was the last time you had sex before the one night stands ? sometimes herpes takes longer than 7 day to emerge.

It it 5 months ago, I've only had sex with my ex, and then the guy( one night stand), he took the blood test for herpes, but he's clean, im confused why I have it and I thought it was he who gave it to me

Depends which blood test he had done. Also, did he show you his results? I wouldn't take his word for it.

he took a swab test, its so weird cause he doesn't have any syndrome and why his doctor took a swab , but I told him he should take a blood test, but ive done what I need to do. 

Wrong test without symptoms, especially for a guy and if just a viral culture. No wonder he tested negative.

thanks so much, you've provided some much useful information in this forum, you're our hero seriously. I've already told the two guys that I had sex with that I had herpes, they seems not to give a s**t about it, so I guess I finished my part of job.

?However, recently, I met a guy, we liked each other and he seems really nice to me, but right now I'm so afraid of having any kinds of relationships cause I don't wanna infect anyone and I don't know when I should tell him (definitely wont have sex with him without telling him I have hsv2). what should I do? cause I searched and It shows that condom wont protect him being infected for 100%, should I take some medicines? I cant find much information about what should people who have herpes do when they are in a relationship with someone doesn't have herpes.

Thanks for the kind words. You are right that condoms don't offer 100% protection, and there are meds you can take daily to suppress the virus. When taken in this way, it is known as suppressive therapy. Same herpes meds as for first outbreaks, just taken daily. Unfortunately suppressive therapy isn't 100% either, but together with condoms and avoiding sex during potential breakthrough recurrences, the risk of transmission is significantly reduced. You can Google the CDC genital herpes treatment guidelines for further info.

thanks!the CDC guideline is really useful, after reading, I still have some questions. Should I avoid my future partner touching my genital area as well? like hands touching. Sorry for my poor English, what I want to say is, I wanna find more specific information, like using condoms is too general, like if I touch my genital area and wipe it on my face and then he kisses my face, will it be transmitted? weird question lol.
