Herpes, Melanoma or something else

I have this recurring dark spot on my lower lip that appears every 6-8 weeks. It typically last 2-3 weeks at a time. It sometimes starts with a tingling sensation, the area will become slightly swollen for a few hours. Once the swelling subsides the dark spot starts to appear. It continues to darken for 7-10 days and will remain at peak darkness for 1-2 weeks. After 2-3 weeks the spot starts to fade. It is not painful. The dark area is not raised or swollen, other than the appears it feels like the rest of my lip.

I am almost certain that I am HSV positive. I have experienced the typical HSV cold sore but this seams nothing like that. I have not had traditional HSV sores/symptons in years. imageimageimageimageimage

If it goes away completely at cycles it's probably not cancer ,but if I had that I'll run to the dermatologist
