Herpes or another infection??

I have had unprotected sex after self isolation from Covid 19 and recently developed symptoms of multiple infections. It began with a burning sensation when passing urine and my vagina was very red. A day later I noticed sores located inside my vagina. They did not look like herpes/warts but there is always what if? They're ulcer looking but only located in certain areas, not in clusters, just the odd one. I have also had excessive discharge to the point of wearing a pad. This is quite cloudy, stretchy at times and very watery.

I have been the doctors and they are still quite unsure what the problem is, they are not certain on herpes or another infection such as yeast or BV. I have had STI tests done and waiting on results.

I just thought I'd ask on here for some advice and see what anyone thought.

Thank you.

When will you get your results back? Did they test for herpes?

yes they took a swab but as my sores were not filled with pus at the time, the nurse is unsure to whether it will come back inconclusive. Therefore, i need to visit a gum clinic and do another test to try again but hopefully the first test will have been efficient. It can take up to a week to recieve results. however, I am being treated for them anyway when they don’t know whether it actually is herpes !
