herpes simplex 1 and BV?

i was diagnosed around two years ago.  Around the same time i also had my thryoid removed and since then I can't get rid of bv.  ive taking the meds from the doctor along with, boric acid, apple cider vinegar with the mother in it, probotics, vitamin c , a daily vitamin, garlic pills, tea tree oil, hydrogen peroxide ate yoghurt and nothing seems to get rid of this.  i know thats alot of different things to try but it wasn't all at one time.  im thinking the herpes has my immune system out of whack and with the thryoid maybe its makig it worse?  I take valtrex daily along with my thyroid meds.  please somebody help me i'm tired of smelling like an old fish!!

Hi . I'm not really sure what you can do about it I'm afraid.have you rechecked you're thyroid medication?I know that you shouldn't douche or wash with scented products. Cotton undies maybe? Would odour absorbing panty liners help?I sympathise I really do.try contacting the gum clinic and ask for help from them? Please don't stress yourself .I'm sorry I couldn't be of much help x

with the thyroid meds my levels are checked about every 3 months and then the meds are given based upon those levels.  i quit wearing non cotton underwear years ago. i want a solution and feel as though i will never get one, but rather have to take meds for ever just to be somewhat normal rolleyes

I'm so sorry you're not getting anywhere.you are normal !! You just have different requirements to deal with.is your problem constant or is intercourse or certain foods a trigger? I'm sorry if that's too personal sad x has anyone noticed the "odour" or are you just overly aware of it? Surely your doctor should refer you to a specialist now if it's making you this unhappy. Please don't think I'm belittling what you're going through ... you must be at the end of your tether by now x

You're ex stayed with you like you said.you will find another partner willing to love you as you are.just because you have an odour doesn't make you unloveable or any less desirable than you were before you got it.I think it's a small price to pay for a caring partner.I think it's all about confidence and whether they are worthy of your affection. I can honestly say if I liked a partner I'd want to be supportive and understanding.noones perfect.

Have you tried taking acidaphaulis? Probably didn't spell that right, but oh well. Have you tried inserting the supplements of it in your vagina daily? Your pH balance ia definitely off, that has nothing to do really w your immune system. It is not having enough yeast which jeeps the bad bacteria under control and not enough bacteria let's the yeast get out of control. I would go see a D.O ...they specialize more in your body chemistry and how everything needs to be balanced out in order to function properly.

They do all the same training as a regular doctor, but they don't just treat the symptoms or present problem, they view injuries and illnesses as a whole in your body and don't just treat the symptoms. Osteopathic doctor is what they are called and they have extra training in the muscular skeletal system. Google them. This site doesn't let you share links

I have serious doubts about anyone in the medical field. Especially if all they do is write prescriptions instead of getting to the root of the problem

Well that's the difference w a D.O vs a regular doctor. It is about making sure everything is functioning and properly regulated in your body. They believe an illness/injuety/infection is a culprit toany factors and not just one.
