Herpes Symptoms and Afraid

Hi guys, in short i had unprotected sex like a fool. Two weeks later mild burning. Gyn thought it was bv at first then yeast infection then an uti. After medication for all the burning persisted in vagina and anus along with tingling in thighs. I was prescribed Valtrex just Incase. After 7 days i started feeling better and didn’t have a outbreak as described online but now 3 days later I’m burning again. And tingling all over even around my mouth. I have ice packs on as we speak. I’m just so afraid and ashamed. I have children i can’t be unfunctional and i work. I just don’t know what I’m going to do and i know i have to wait 3 months to get accurate test results. Previously I’ve tested negative for everything. I don’t have anyone to even talk to about this. I really feel low.

First of all i would wait until you have an outbreak and then get a swab test as its the most accurate. Hopefully you don’t have it but if you do, you will not suffer enough to need to take off of work. You can still be perfectly functional. I too have tingling around my thighs sometimes prior to an outbreak but never had the burning. I did get really bad uti’s around the time I think I may have contracted it. But I didn’t have real symptoms until years later.

Thanks. I just don’t know what else it could be at this point. I did get one pimple like bump on my anus but it didn’t look like what i see online. I’m really most concerned that it’s internal. Smh. Once i had my period the real flare up began. It felt like a thousand paper cuts. I tried the Epsom salt bath but nothing really helps but the ice packs. I  am also afraid that this is an enlongated predrome and now that my prescription is donr I’ll have an unaccompanied outbreak. Should i just ask for more pills until the test results are in?

You do not have to wait 3 months for accurate text results. The test is accurate after 3 weeks and conclusive after 6 weeks.

Thanks. Everywhere I’m reading it says you can get a false negative so early. It’s been 7 weeks now since initial contact and I’ve been symptomatic for 5.
