I am just over 6 weeks post op and went back to part time work last week. Â I feel so lucky that my op (vaginal hysterectomy and anterior repair) went so well. Â I was dreading it as I had a couple of friends who said that they had a bad time and had pain, discomfort and tiredness for a long time - I had none of these and was walking daily from week 1 and jogging at week 5.
So many of the ladies on this site have been having an awful time so I think it's good for those of us with positive experiences to post them to show that it's not always bad. Â I put my good fortune solely down to the skill of my surgeon who was brilliant and is a pioneer of 'minimal access and robotic surgery' and is fortunately based at my local hospital.
Best wishes to all of you out there who may be worrying about your op as it isn't always doom and gloom.
Sharon
