hi all, I was just wondering if someone could help, it's a bit personal last night I had a bath and, thought I would have a poke about, inside, wondering if it was all okay, it was very sore at the entrance and very spongy just inside, just wondering if this is a prolapse xx

Hi, Marilyn,
I'm not sure, I think that you need to contact your doctor to find out. You might have an infection.
I also feel that I need to tell you that bath water is filled with bacteria that can cause severe infections. I was advised by my doctor not to take baths or use hot tubs.
I hope that you don't have prolapse! xx

Well, my doctor informed me that there is no way that the tub itself can be kept as clean as need be, especially if you have young children. So, bacteria grows on the tub, and once the water is added it swirls in the water. You wash your body, and that adds more bacteria to the mix. That's why soaking tubs have extremely hot water, and hot tubs have to have chemicals, to keep it as safe as possible.
He said some women who have tipped uteruses can actually take on water, as they recline in the tub. I found this difficult to believe until one of my friends told me that every time she took a bath she dried off, and then would experience a small gush of water a few seconds afterwards. I thought to myself "Ugh Oh!" She also had lots of vaginal infections.
Shower water usually runs over your body, and not into orifices, especially not deeply, unless you deliberately aim a hand held jet.
I haven't taken a bath since I found this out! Well, I have showered!
xx

A few months back I was very sore and swollen but and felt like inside was hanging.but not itchy and my docto gave me a tablet for thrush . Which I assumed I would be itchy if I had it. But no you don't have to be. And the tablet did clear it up
