High calcium, ferritin and CK

Posted , 4 users are following.

I have high calcium within normal range too. My ferritin is always high and out off range. My CK is high and out off range. I am not sure it is because my hyperthyroidism causes high ferritin, or my inflammation causes it, or it causes inflammation. Where is theses high CK, ferritin or calcium come from? Maybe they come from thyroid disorder? Or all these are just processing of menopause? Who can tell us?

I know hyperthyroid cause high ck, ferritin and calcium. But when I control my thyroid hormone within the range and my ferritin , calcium are still high!

Hi Lucy,Are you currently taking any multi vitamins, or eating foods that have a high intake of iron, and calcium? Is your liver breaking them down proper? Usually for women who are perimenopausal especially with heavy menses deal with low ferritin levels. Have your periods stopped? What did your doctor tell you?

Hi Lucy, then if your doctor isn't concerned and you are, I would check out seeing a good naturalpath doctor, one who specializes in women"s health. Unfortunately doctors are only limited with what they can investigate, they have cookie cutter testing and if all is normal then you live with it. Naturalpath doctors can investigate further and spend way more time with you. They go over a complete health history, family histories, and can order special blood testing, and biological testing. It could be your liver not breaking things down properly and they will give you protocol on how to help your liver....for example. Personally I would never go without having a doctor and a naturalpath especially at this phase. I found out so much more preventative and beneficial information with naturalpath. I find where I live it takes 2-3 weeks to see family doctor and you get to spend all of 20 minutes with them as they are booked up solid. A naturalpath they schedule at lease an hour visit. First visit is close to 2. That is more time to discuss what is going on. Just a suggestion.

You might want to seek a nutritionist. Doctors only know so much and I always hear that food heals most things.I just had my blood test and 5 things went UP!!!! I've had great blood tests all these years and now I'm freaked! Per insurance I'm OK so no increased rates or classes on what I need to do. But I want to know if I'm taking too many supplements or not enough. So a friend told me about this woman who can tell about about your blood test. So I made an appointment with her to do a blood test analysis. I'm just curious!!

Just went to see the nutritionist!! She works with a naturalpath Dr as well. But she explain that each lab/Dr's have ranges which aren't always correct. The 5 things that went up with my levels are all OK!!!! She explained so much and was very helpful-- expensive but quite worth it!! She also recommended a few things to me in regards to my hormones and food choices to get my sugar cravings under control as well as just feeling better..

But my levels are all OK and nothing to worry about as all labs/Dr have their 'ranges'.. She spent 2 hours with me talking about blood test, how I feel and what I need to do to get back on track. She was expensive BUT I feel very worth it!!
