Holy smokes. That's a lot of surgeries. Are you in the UK?
I'm in WNY and I had the best in the business around here do my left THR 6 weeks ago. No issues except old age.

Dear Nicole what country are you in please and is it the same surgeon who has carried out all your hip surgeries? Do you have any problems that made your hip replacement difficult? Cheers, Richard

Thanks Nicole. I would be very concerned that the surgeon has failed so many times and would find a surgeon with a lot of experience of hip revision work. If your bone is not growing into the stem then why on earth did he/she not use a cemented stem. This was the way it used to be done here in the UK for older patients. Cheers, Richard

I just had left hip revision surgery last month. I was scared too. My capsule was malpositioned and I had lost a lot of hip strength. I went to different surgeon in LA - who does a lot of revisions. It isnt that bad a surgery, in my case a bit longer recovery time, maybe a month or so longer than primary hip replacement. I'm sorry you've had so many surgeries to deal with. Its not fun but hopefully it will turn out well for you.

I had hip dysplasia as well. Implant wasnt put in deep enough and was at wrong angle. Surgeon messed up. So fingers crossed this revision will work. It was done by different surgeon with computer navigation.
