I am 3 weeks post surgery and I am having cramps in my thigh and knee when sleeping. I have been struggling with lifting my leg as it feels heavy (surgery side) Is this normal?
I am doing some exercises when I can.
Its driving me nuts. I am still using my crutches as I find it hard to weight bear without them on my operated leg.

I thought I was being pathetic as it took me a long time to weight bear - be patient, everyone heals at different rates.
Mine is a positive story, although it felt like otherwise at times, but really I forget about my hip replacement now, it just feels normal- no pain at all. My scar is almost invisible and I can pretty well do everything
Good luck
Chris

Yes that happened to me too. I took magnesium citrate as advised on this forum and it worked from night 1.
Heavy leg does eventually get better.
All normal so relax.
