HIV anxiety

3 weeks ago I had unprotected sex with a man who I thought I could trust. We talked for a long time and he knows I've been tested, but he never told me that he was never tested until after we'd done stuff. Anyway, 3 weeks in and I've got a bad yeast infection, can't eat, diarrhea, and extremely tired. I know there's not much people will be able to tell me, the only thing that will confirm is a test. Was just hoping anyone had some calming words or ways to deal with anxiety.

It's unlikely you have HIV, and even if you did, you wouldn't have symptoms yet.

There are other things you could have picked up (though you'd have to be unlucky if you only had unprotected sex once with one person), but the only way you're going to know for use is to get tested.  You could either see your GP, or if you're in the UK, you could go to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic - google "GUM clinic near me" for details.  Good luck.

Thank you! I actually have an appointment set-up with my doctor for next week. But that has helped a lot smile
