thanks maria for the reply. this has only started in the last day or two. I've had all the symptoms on the list so far, and this one is new. Feel so tired with it too. thanks, good to know I'm not the only one!

This is one of the worst symtoms I have had for some time now, at least a year, and it happens for many hours of the day. The main trigger seems to be heat rather than a hot flush but if I say get on a bus that's too stuffy or spend too much time in a heated room the head tightness will last for hours (I get the dizziness and faint feeling with it too). I try hard not to worry about it (easier said than done some days)
and breath through it and tell myself I'm OK it's the hormones. I used to get so panicked by it but just recently in a weird way I've gotten used this rotten feeling of tightness throughout the day. I wish it was possible to work out what particular lack of hormone causes it.

thanks for reply liz. I wonder too if I am low on progesterone or oestrogen now. I also get dizzy and faint with it and although I have a grip on this menopause nightmare, when a new symptom starts I'm wondering whether to go and get it checked but knowing myself that it is hormones but it's hard! I agree, it is a bad symptom, makes you feel that there is something very wrong happening. I wish it would all go away soon.

Oh me too I really do & constantly assured it will do!. On & off over past 2 years I have had multiple checks done...personally I think if you can get the checks you need it's well needed reassurance that you are ok & might help to stay positive or at least not worry as much and become overly anxious. Lord knows we have enough anxiety. We'll all be looking back at this one day thinking whow we got through it

HELLO LADIES, AS A MATTER OF FACT AS WE SPEAK, I HAVE THIS FEELING OF A TIGHT BAND AROUND MY HEAD AND FEEL LIGHTHEADED, DIZZY AND FAINT. I HAVE THIS FEELING DAILY AND HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS SYMPTOM FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS NOW. I STARTED ALL THESE PERI-MENO SYMPTOMS A YEAR AGO ONCE I TURNED 45. LET ME TELL YOU ALL THIS IS REAL, WE ARE NOT GOING INSANE AND AS I HAVE HEARD THIS TOO SHALL PASS. I REMAIN HOPEFUL I PRAY TO STAY AND BECOME STRONGER. EVERYDAY CAN BE A STRUGGLE BUT I REFUSE TO LET THE CHANGE OF LIFE BRING ME DOWN OR GET THE BEST OF ME. I CHANGED MY EATING HABITS I EXERCISE TAKE MULTI-VITAMINS AND FIRST AND FOREMOST I PRAY AND I PRAY HARD. OUR FATHER LORD MADE US AND HE DOES NOT GIVE US MORE THAN WHAT WE CAN HANDLE. AMEN. HANG IN THERE LADIES WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER I PRAY FOR US ALL TO REMAIN STRONG PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY AND MOST OF ALL SPIRITUALLY! WE WILL ALL GET THROUGH THIS BELIEVE ME. I CAN HONESTLY SAY SINCE ALL THESE SYMPTOMS STARTED A YEAR AGO AND STARTED HARD ON ME, I AM FEELING MUCH MUCH BETTER AND EVERYDAY IT GETS BETTER. I KEEP MY MIND FOCUSED ON POSITIVITY MY FAMILY AND WORK. HUGS AND KISSESS TO YOU ALL, MY SISTERS. ??😘👍🏻😃

thnks olimari. It is tough but it will pass, so I'm told. The symptoms are cruel at times and this latest one the tightness in the head makes it tougher!
