I have the same symptoms as yourself it's like when I breath I can't feel my lungs filling up and dead short of breath it's a weird feeling and also the palpitations and flutters aswell they suck but I had ECGs and blood tests and the usual blood pressure and heart rate took aswell,I know it's not my heart but when i have a bad day or a panic attack for that space of time I truely believe it is my heart my brain just switches but this is all
Part of anxiety and panic

Thanks for you advice ranger I've only had a quick ECG in my mental health clinic which showed nothing and had blood pressure and heart rate checked countless of times at GP plus countless of physicals done. With me I feel I need further test on heart just to convince my brain it isn't my heart if you get me sounds mad I know lol.

If it is, it is nothing psychological. It is a very annoying disease.

I had this and I just dont know anymore. I dont take meds for GERD anymore bc I think it got better. I have the same problems as the person who wrote this post. At the same time no matter how good my day is my shortness of breath is the same. But on other hand, I know I have anxiety. I honestly dont know what to do. It might be still silent GERD. Very hopeless right now bc it doesnt get better. It also true that muscles around chest area are usually thight when you have anxiety and maybe they dont let me get full inhale. For a person who posted this. Just try to stay positive and mostly listen to professionals. Ask for second professional opinion if you don't trust a doctor. Does it get worse if you lie down? Is it worse after eating food ?

Your last two questions are pretty good, yes. Meds for gerd-you mean PPI's, right? Cause there is a problem i believe. I read it is only a 10% case of too much acid and that reflux actually happens due to low acid. Yesterday i read an interesting article, something from a book that says if there is low acid, spinchter of esophagus stops working properly, because it thinks it doesnt have to tighten as it does when there is enough acid. So it lets low acid up to your throat. I find it paradoxical and very interesting.

Yeah I heard that too and I am try to be aware of that. I try to eat healthy as much as I can and thats pretty much it right now. Yeah I got PPIs and it didn't really help a lot. My esophagus used to burn when I went to sleep but now it doesn't so I think it is fixed? I honestly don't have idea because I have pretty much every anxiety symptom known to earth ( maybe not every :P but too many for me ) and I just don't know which ones are real and which ones are not. Anxiety pushed me really far and I got completely hopeless because it is influencing my life too much. But I am working on myself a lot and I hope I will be happy and calm one day

Thanks for your reply happyguy ever since April after my 2 panic attacks I have had heart flutters all day which are awful to sit through feels like there is a butterfly in my chest and shortness of breath everyday day in day out and no it doesn't get worse when I lie down or after food it just a weird feeling in the middle of my chest that makes me try to catch my breath a lot also have chest tightening all day long to but I have had heart listened to by at least 5 different docs at GPs and said all sound fine so no need for further testing I had a quick ECG at my mental health clinic which showed nothing.
