Hello I'm new to the group. I have been told I have generalized anxiety disorder. I have taken Effexor, celexa, and Effexor which done nothing. I am on 1mg of Xanax a day I take .5 in morn and .5 in evening. Nothing is helping me. The xanax helps me function better than when I don't have it but it don't make the symptoms go away.
Here is what's going on with me
24/7 dizziness for going on three years. Feeling like I'm going to pass out at random times. I have head pressure that gets so bad and makes me have to lie down. Chest pain right and left side. Feeling like I can't breathe. Naseaus some days. Heart racing and palpatations.
It started when I got pregnant with my first child. I had anxiety before I got pregnant but just racing heart and my hands would shake a little, that's it though. If anyone has had anything like this and got cured please help.
I have seen
cardiologist-have tachycardia and palpatations but told heart is healthy just fast
Ent- didn't help me at all
Psychologist- says dizziness may be anxiety but he hasn't personally seen someone with it and he is well known in two states.

Saying that be very sure all else has been ruled out, an endocrinologist is a good medical professiinal to go to to rule out other hormonal or metabolism causes for anxiety. Many drs will give you a referral if calmly explained. Once you get nervous and hyoer and talk fast in a dr. Office they basically red flag you and send you ut with an anxiety diagnosis. Which is rude but done a lot. And anxiety disorders can and do coexist with other ailments. standard gps do not run certain more thourough bloodwork when dealing with hormonal issues or the metabolism that is why an endocrinologist is used. They are specialists for a reason. I know a lot of gate keeping occurs so clearly explaining symptoms and onset is important. At times a rhea, atoid specialist is also a good way to determine auto immune issues but usually theres other symptoms involved. I was recently sent to a rheamatoid dr. They are overly thourough and he took 19 viles of blood to which i return in two weeks for the result.im now a bit anxious as if a dr takes that much blood to run a ton of tests im thinking how can he not find stuff. But i never asked to go i was told to go so maybe a different scenario. I was sent for dry eyes and to check that out, so personally i would say endocrinologist.
**Dizzy is up there on top complaints of most visits to the Doctor so they dont always know the causes at all. Considering you have anxiety that would be a classic sign. Improper breathing. Shallow breathing. Learn belly breathing and change over. Apps are available to teach you this.Blood pressure spikes and lowering. Lack of sleep and dehydration are the most common causes. Poor posture. Too much ohone, ioad or comouter use. Im not a doctor. Just noting what i have learned. What has helped me mindful exercise to stable blood pressure. Diet change. Low salt diet. Raw ginger one inch a day sliced and you can dip in honey to help the taste. The ginger is a gift from the Gods for dizzy. Who knew so simple and easy to get and has worked wonderfully, the mindful exercises for me work well. I do surrender all thoughts for the three minutes and deep belly breathe and have had great success with it. At least enough when the dr takes my blood pressure to lower spikes, i learned it off utube. I quietly say ommmmm during that time it blocks out everything so i can self calm. Very serious on that.
lastly an eye exam. Not so common but people get optic issues. Sadly i was in that category. An eye exam will note that. Hopefully thats not you. But easy to get an eye exam. I also was in peri menapause now ,menapause. My family it hapoens at a younger age. But thats why i saw endocrinologist too nit always age related other reason haooen for woman to have peri menapause and not be old.
I agree with you with ENTs im not sure whatbthey really do. Good with kids and certain surgeries though. I think they work better with sinuses.
look at any medicine you take. Many have dozzy as a side effect. Allergy meds. Nsaids especially is used a lot, or sleeping aids.
Xanax works fantastic on vestibular stuff so you already noted it wasnt helping and ent saw nothing so thats at least ruled out.
saying all that it does sound so much like anxiety what you wrote. Trybthe raw ginger daily and switch to belly breathing.
i hope that helped you.mintried to cover all i know but mines off life experience.
