How is your cbt experiencese?

Finaly i strated therapy for two weeks,but i dont know if it is good or not,i meet my therapist once a week for a 30min session,he forces me talk about my childhood memories,i mean those things dat i never forget them those scary bad events,and when i strat talking about them,it makes me cry and i cry i dont want to talk about them but he says i shoul talk,i think if i keep talking it makes me die,when im talking about those memories i get pain chest,i cant explain how painful is for me when i talk,even when i remember my therapy session it makes feel awful,i didnt ask my therapist what is dat,so im not sure if its cbt or not,i just want ask you what therapies did you have before?how were them?is my therapy like cbt?omg i realy dont want to go my next session,today all day i was in dat mood and its like im a child again and dat events are happenig,im not anxious but i feel weird,i dont know what is my mood exactly,its like i cried many hours and now im tierd of crying then im prepairing my self to cry again,im not crying but dats thing of my mood,im disapointed becuz i think maybe therapy will make me worse,should i go on?

    No therapy isnt the same as CBT. Unfortunately therapy does have painful times,if it wasn't then it wouldn't work. Stick at it

    Maybe to surface all the memories and pain you stuffed down deep inside you. Then the triggers would be more obvious and easier to work through. Interesting.

    Therapist try to get to the route of your problems and sometimes these are painful memories that is the way all therapist work
