hey everyone. Dash here. I've been taking 40mg of Prozac for 6 weeks now every morning. I really don't feel a thing. no different. at first I think I felt more anxious and jittery. but now it just feels like any other day. no different. I've been dealing with a lot of personal family health issues, along with other stressors that caused me to seek help. and I have both anxiety and I guess depression. but I just don't feel any different after 6 weeks. any suggestions?

      Hi Sharon,

I am new to Fluoxetine only been on it a week and to be honest i feel tired! may be its just my imagination and have not given it time yet, i was speaking to a colleague who is on these and she said to take them at tea time because when you start to feel tired you can go to bed! have you felt more tired on them and have you lost weight?

i'm past the 6 week point now.  tomorrow will be 7 weeks.  it's hard to tell if i feel different, but my therapist tells me he can tell it's starting to work.  They say that combining Fluroxetine and Behavioral Therapy is the best way of dealing with depression and anxiety.  i'm trying!  The mornings are the hardest for me.  I feel melancholic when i get up, and i don't have the drive or energy i want to start my day with.  but i'm hopeful.  and i'm working hard at fixing myself.  i'm going to keep working and i'll keep you kind people posted.

sometimes i just can't tell if it's circumstances that are getting better and therefor i'm feeling less anxious, or it's just me and the circumstances are really the same.  that's my issue now.  silly one too, because it doesn't really matter as long as i'm starting to feel better and manage my worries better.

Just keep taking them and thinking positive things will get better, don't over think things keep things simple and the day gets easier. If you get time in the day try and get some exercise and fresh air, i have joined a gym and i feel so much better once ive been and its helping me sleep a little longer. Stick with it.  we are always here to help keep going  T
