how long will nhs make me wait

Hi I have large cyst and a fibroid. Was told needed hysterectomy but a mtd meeting was held to discuss treatment why did they do that. I have not heard anything.mdt meeting was on 3/7/14' I am in a lot of pain and can not work. How long will the nhs make me wait. I live in Leicester.raj

      Hi June thanks for reply. I am getting frustrated as was told the hospital would write to me after mdt meeting to let me know what treatment I would receive. It has been 4 weeks but no letter. I rang last week and was told I need a mri scan. I have already had a ultra sound and ct scan . Also a blood test. I am worried why everything is taking  so long. My case was discussed on 3/7/14 but told no mri scan date had been fixed. Am I worrying for no reason?

      They so take  a while . I waited three weeks for my ct results and only got them because I rAng. I know it is difficult but try not to worry. Just keep pestering his secretary to see If she

    Hi raj, I too am in Leicester. My care plan also went to mdt for discussion (cyst removal, hysterectomy etc. ) was called in to see the consultant the week after. Already had ultra sound and CT scan, no MRI required. Op booked for next week. I would phone the clinic again they should be able to chase getting the MRI date for you or at least find out why you haven't got a date yet/ give you an idea when you may get one. I've found the staff at the General helpful especially when I needed the CT scan quickly so I wouldn't have to cancel the family holiday.

      Hi betty thanks for reply. I am going to my gp on mon to c of he can speed things up .I have already rang LRI up rhet jusr keep saying will take a couple of week. I am really frutanted waiting for letter to come. I cant sleep with worry and gace pain all the time although painkillers help for a couple off hours. I am takinf

      g 16 tablets a day. 2 paractamols and 2 tramadon 4 times a anf find  day. I cant go to work have been off sick for 6 weeks already. i have 3 year old and fiind it hard to. copy at times.
