My GF and i had unprotected sex 6 nights ago and come to find out, i was going through an Outbreak (hsv2) but i didnt know this because there was ZERO symptoms. No itching, burning, tingling, or any discomfort. I know i had an OB because the next afternoon i had 6-7 tiny scabs starting to form on the top of my penis and that is usually where my OBs occur. So i must of had blisters and they opened up during sex and the next day they started to heal. Ive been freaking out ever since, but my GF is cool as a Cucumber. There is no symptoms or discomfort with her.
Im wondering how many days after sex did you start to see symptoms??

Do you usually have unprotected sex with no condom with her?

Very rarely do we have sex unprotected. It's only when I feel at my most healthiest state is when we have unprotected sex. But it's only been four times in the last 18 months. I'm just curious to know if anybody has had symptoms many weeks after they were in contact with the virus.
From what I've been reading it seems everybody's has symptoms when the first couple of days of contact.
As of today my scabs have fallen off and all I can see is tiny little divots on the top of my shaft. It will be about another week until I am completely free of my outbreak.
So as of the second day from contact I've been giving my GF 1 400 mg of acyclovir daily until the symptoms start. I don't know if this is a good idea or bad idea but I figure I might as well get ahead of the game.

Anyway i think better to avoid meds till she have symptoms in order to know if she got it or not. And then start immediately. Meds will not stop OB but may hide it. The other solution is that she should go for blood test after 1 week for Ig M.

I read that herpes blisters are only supposed to be 3mm in size and so these are not alike. I’m extremely concerned as I have never experienced anything like this and I’ve no idea what they are.
