The first thread under the ' All discussions in this group 'heading, started by the Moderator, is a pinned ie permanent one called Useful Resources  . If you click on that it will take you to a long list  of links to leaflets and other sites.  Is that what you mean ?

Click on Genitourinary Prolapse that's at the top of this page in red. There you'll find the Pinned Post if that's what you mean dorothy some of which I contributed to. If that's not what you mean can I help because I hate it when ladies don't have all the relevant information.

Yes, Thank you, Matron,  found it.  Also is there a home page that discusses..." Restrictions" after Pelvic floor surgery?  I thought I saw a post referring to it? I'm also not sure how to "private message".  You'd never believe I was an RN, would you...with all my stupid questions.  One thing I'm not,  is a techie.  I don't mean to waste your time. You have been very helpful, and also the ladies participating.  I appreciate you.

dorothy if you want to private message me just click on my name and you'll see a link for messaging me. Your questions aren't stupid because as nurses we tend to specialise in one or two things and forget the other stuff we learnt when training. Someone asked me about a hernia last week and I couldn't confidently answer her question. By the way your not wasting anyone's time, if I felt like that I wouldn't be on this forum. There have been a few posts recently about restrictions is there anything in particular or just generally?

Matron,    My bed slides because it is on a hardwood floor....no carpet.   On occasion,   I have used my legs to push against the bed to move it a foot or so.  Could I have hurt anything?  It doesn't seem to strain me, but now I'm very worried I could have done damage.

No you won't have done any damage dorothy so please don't worry. Problems only occur through continued or prolonged lifting etc.

Thank you Matron!  I wonder if you really know how valuable you are to us.  I thank God that I found this forum.     You have helped me, more than you know.  I'm sure the other ladies feel the same.  May you have many blessings for your commitment to us.  Sincerely,  Dorothy

That's very kind of you dorothy I'm pleased to help. I started to post on this forum when I discovered just how little information was given to ladies before and after prolapse repair surgery.

I was given what looked like  quite comprehensive  leaflets ( produced by the hospital) before surgery but actually they focussed in the immediate couple of days  post op. For the period after that it was quite vague rest and don't lift heavy weight s for 6 weeks. I found myself looking at overly technical sites before I found this very welcome resource .
