Im afraid I disagree with the advice you've been given so far re diet for the following reasons.
The majority of the cholesterol in our blood comes from our own bodies making it, people mistakenly think they get most of their cholesterol from their food and that's simply not true.
If we eat a lot of cholesterol our bodies make less of it, if we eat less cholesterol then our bodies make more of it.
The amount of cholesterol containing foods we eat isn't going to have a big impact on our blood cholesterol levels.
Only 15 per cent of the cholesterol we consume through diet is absorbed and used by the body the other 85 per cent is excreted.
Do you have a break down of your cholesterol levels? ie LDL, HDL and Triglycerides?
Your Triglceride level is the most important sign of a non healthy diet. If you do have a break down of your cholesterol numbers please let me know and I'll be happy to advise you further.
can I just say I am in no way being nasty re others advice it's just the normal response to what we have been told. Saturated fat is healthy as is cholesterol ( not Triglycerides) and fortunately it's now slowly but surely being taken seriously that the whole cholesterol causes heart disease is a complete myth, it's sugar that is evil not saturated fat or cholesterol.
