HPV? or maybe herpes? I can’t tell..help!

the last time I had sex was in June, and a few weeks after I noticed something that felt like a skin tag? I didnt think much of it and only touched it, never actually looked at it for a while. I finally started to think something could be wrong and maybe it wasnt a skin tag around late august/september. Heres what it used to look like vs what it looks like now. Im pretty sure its a genital wart so that means it has to be HPV right? The wart went away, without treatment, its been gone for at least a month now. But I have these like open cuts/sores now? Is this also HPV? I havent seen many pictures that tell what the second pic could be, or anything that says HPV causes these sores too? Doctors appointment next week, Help?? image

sex was unprotected. i also stopped taking birth control regularly soon after. could being irregular with my birth control (i was off for a month or 2, then started back in september ish) contribute to anything?
