HRT in need of advice for people currently taking HRT

Posted , 7 users are following.

I started prempak 7 months ago and was pleased with the result. Until last week and my hands are very dry again and my concentration is low and I'm worried the extreme anxiety may return.

My GP has suggested trying a different product as can not increase dose any further.

Has anyone tried prempak and then changed to a different product and found it worked better?

Or anyone have any advice about changing HRT medication in general?

I'm only 44 and none of my friends are using or need HRT

Hi there. I can't answer your question but a, being tested for peri menopause because of severe anxiety. Did the HRT take away the anxiety?

Yes HRT did totally help with anxiety and gain concentration. Helped all round but a few symptoms have returned and not sure what I should do next

I'm not familiar with prempak.  If this has worked well for 7 months, I might suggest that something about your routine has changed?  Stress?  Sleep?  Or possibly just something internal has changed as well.  Like your naturally produced hormones have gone down again.

Please post back, I'd love to hear about women experiences with combination HRTs. The only time I feel half way normal is then I am on both estrogen and progesterone.

That is possible, GP did ask those questions and nothing in my routine has changed.

Today I noticed when driving I drift off and forgot to take the turning I needed just because I was thinking about something else. This happened often before taking hrt. And then the anxiety kicked in.

I am taking estrogen for the full month and progesterone for 14 of those days.

Have you tried many forms of hrt?

Hi, I found this with Elleste duo, some symptoms started to return so my consultant changed my hrt to femeston but I seem to have got worse.

I've managed to get an appointment for nxt week so I guess I will see what he says but this is all new to me and being 41 none of my friends and joined our club yet.

And suggestions would be greatly appreciated 😊

Hi, I totally understand what you mean I have no experience or much understanding of hrt.

Is your hrt estrogen for the full month and progesterone for 14 days? My prempak works that way. I am happy with prempak but want to investigate next step if my case gets worse.

Hope your gp helps next week, let us know how u get on. Good luck
