    Hi!

I have been on HRT for nearly 3 months and looking back now and seeing how awful us ladies feel going through all these horrid symtptons I honestly dont know why we suffer when we dobt have to. I know sadly some cant take these as the risks are too high but on a personal level I am so grateful to be able to. Dont get me wrong...I would luv to soldier on through it but y ..I want quality of life now..no one knows whats around the corner..life is for living..as long as u understand the risks and listen to your body..then for me it was a Godsend!!!

      Hi

      Which HRT are you on?

Can you share your experience please. It's sounds like you have had a positive response to HRT.

Hi ladies , I went to the doctors hoping to go on HRT but dr told me to try sertraline , has anyone taken this for menopause ? I've heard such great stories about HRT & thinking I should go back & insist on HRT instead of waiting 😩

Although Sertraline can help hot flashes and moods, it can affect your libido negatively, cause Weigt gain, it won't help your bones, skin or memory

Hi, I am 58 and I have been on HRT for 13 months. I feel alot better, till I vaginal atropht hit me. That is another subject. But, for the hrt it has helped me greatly. My doses had to be adjusted. Now getting the va under control. I use estrace, moisturizers and coconut oil. I know coconut oil might not be the thing for some. But, it works for me. Also, trying to get those pelvic floor muscles, etc. working properly.

Best decision I ever made I feel completely back to my old self, really was a miracle cure for the awful effects of surgical menopause.

Yes BHRT has absolutely given me my life back.

Didn't happen overnight. It took a few adjustments and i'v been in for 9 months now but I'm pretty much back to my old self.

All my depression, anxiety etc has gone and I feel motivated again for the first time in a long time.

I am a pharmacist and specialize in BHRT. I have treated over 10,000 patients for the past 18 years. The experiences vary but the majority are positive. It depends on how much of your symptoms are related to menopause and how much due to stress or other causes. Either way my recommendation is to be conservative. Please let me know if you have any questions

Shar, I'm sorry if I am hijacking this thread, but I have a question for you.  Have you ever treated anyone who had dizziness and an unsteady brain from using BHRT?  How often do you hear this complaint?  Can you tell me what might cause it?  Or how to get around it?

Dizziness is one of the major symptoms that I have in peri. And I am not using any hormones. It may just be a symptom of meno,  that the hormones cannot correct.
