    Hi there !

I think it's all about quality of life that's what it all boils down to and if it provides relief I absolutely think the benefits outweigh the risks I however have tried it and haven't found the right balance but I am sure an advocate for it I hope this helps

    Hi Yvonne

I agree with maui. If your symptoms are manageable then great, but if they are impacting sleep, mood, mental heath etc plus all the aches and pains, I think it's a yes. I've tried it both ways, peri with no hrt and I hit meno this year at 43. There was a vast difference between both for me, and my symptoms were so bad this year I just couldn't function. I'm on bhrt now and it's helped. I think the risks of not taking HRT are equal to those we hear about. It's essential for bones, nerves, brain function, heart, well being, endocrine system, adrenals etc so I say give it a go smile best of luck xx

Hi Yvonne I'm the same age as you....and 8mths ago decided to give hrt a go I wasn't having awful symptoms just slightly hotter and v tired! Also I was getting urine informations...also like you I was still having periods. IV been on Evorel patches and they have solved my bladder problems it's been amazing!

But it doesn't take away all the symptoms I still get v fatigued and I'm still having monthly periods but not heavy ones.

I really want to stay on hrt for me it's been great but I have made gp appointment today to try another patch that might help periods stop!?

Anyway each to their own hope you get sorted luv Aly xx
