HSV-1 genitally, anyone else have this and what is your recurrence of out breaks?

I recently found out that I have HSV-1 genitally. All of my blood work for both HSV1 &2 came out negative. But a swab on a small looking cut turned out positive for HSV-1. So, I am pretty sure this is my first OB and I just got it from a recently new partner. My question is, does anyone else have this? Were your out breaks bad? How often did they reoccur?

I had symptoms but only the one "sore" as you would call it. It never blistered or anything, I am hoping this is the worse I will have and that it might not reoccur.

Basically I am looking for other people who want to discuss this. Still a little in shock for myself.

As herpes symptoms can vary from each individual, some people can experience the severe outbreak while others feel normal. The number of herpes outbreaks also depends on your immune system. If your immune system is healthy, you will have less herpes outbreaks.
