hello
I was diagnosed earlier in MARCH 2018, of genital herpes type 1. honestly, I WAS crushed, still am. luckily I have a supporting boyfriend who is neg and has remained so far even though we have been intimate with out a condom and I havent had any other outbreak since the first. .
I want to know from people that have had type 1 virus for a long time (genitally) and to give me some pointers.
how many outbreaks have you had in total?
how long do they last?
tell me any details you want about your long term journey. I would love to know.
thanks

hey!
i was crushed as well AUGUST 2017 when i was diagnosed with HsV1 genitally. i had no idea where it even came from. MY boyfriend and i have sex without condoms as well, and he is also supportive. i, too, get tingly around the mouth as well as burning in my hips but never an outbreak. The inly outbreaks i have had was my initial, when i had endometriosis resection surgery, and my hysterectomy this JUNE. I do take VALTREX daily though just to limit the risk of my boyfriend contracting it. i have been lucky. i havent had to make any life style changes since the diagnosis and the only outbreaks have been with trauma down below. i do hear that others aren't as lucky as us. i hope things continue to go well!

hey! i was diagnosed on APRIL (GHSV1). I had a severe and painful outbreak. I am so confused about how I contracted it. I just waxed and I had a primary horrible infection, maybe because my skin was so irritated thats why I had I had a huge OB all around my vagina and anus. Im so mad at the salon where I got waxed It was also my first waxing and my skin ended up bleeding too.
Im wondering if because I had a severe OB, does it mean I shed more? or my shedding will be more than the average ghsv1?
