I'm two weeks and two days post op just had consultants secretary on the phone my consultant wants to see me on Wednesday im know scared it's bad news

    Hi Lyn

    Try not to assume the worst. Easier said than done I know. Stressing will definitely not aid your recovery. I think feel good films and loads of chocolate between now and your appointment are a necessity! I wish you well for your appointment. x

    Hi Lynn did you have FAH?  I had to because they found a tumour, they are 99% certain that it was contained but I won't know for certain until I have a test at the end of this month.  you need to ensure you do nothing but rest and easier said than done try not to worry too much.

      What's a day ? I had my op because when they did a biopsy they found pre cancerous cells they did the op by keyhole but when I was discharged I was told the consultant would see me in six to eight weeks . When I had the biopsy I was told it would be eighteen days before the results came back but within a couple of days I had a phone call saying the consultant wanted to see me

      Full abdominal hysterectomy - they took everything cervix and all because of the tumour - I'm in Australia and although we pay a lot for healthcare I have felt it was worthwhile and I got a great surgeon so really hoping for a good result. I will let you know next month how I go. This is a great site and it's so helpful to be able to chat to other ladies.  The truth is I am not fully healed yet, still feel bruised in my stomach and I get very tired ( but then that's probably because of the hot flushes and lack of sleep), such joy being a woman eh?? I will keep everything crossed for you and hope your news is good and remember REST let others look after you.

    Try to stay positive treatments have progressed as well as diadnostics. it may not be as bad as you think!
