Hysterectomy and hormones

Hi ladies I'm 11 weeks post op having had a vaginal repair and hysterectomy leaving my ovaries and tubes. And my mood swings are all over the place I'm happy moody then crying it's driving me nuts I'm not sure which feeing are real and which are hormonal? Should I see my dr or give my body time to adjust? All comments are much appreciated thank you xx

    Hysterectomy can cause early menopause symptoms even with having ovAries you have to regulate your hormones. Seanjari Preeti

      A hysterectomy without an oopherectomy will not cause menopausal symptoms. Only removal of the ovaries will cause a woman to go into a menopause.

    If your ovation were left intact then your body is still releasing the hormones so what you are feeling is probably post op blues which is common. It is reall up to you whether you see your GP but personally I would wait and see how you feel in a few weeks.
