Hysterectomy in two days

Hello no I had a abdominal hysterectomy and bso so everything removed. So different from yours.

I feel ok now I can't do to much at the moment but I am defiantly moving around a lot more easier now. I have never felt ill at all just broken haha.i am now mending slowly.

Hi. Full hysterectomy is removing womb and cervix. This can be done abdominal which is being cut open to remove or by laparoscopy which is keyhole like you have had for endo removal. Normally by lap the womb is removed through vagina. Along with a full hysterectomy you can also have a BSO which is bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. This means removal of both ovaries which is sometimes done at same time as hysterectomy. Hope that helps.

Hi ladies, hi Ann I'm so pleased you are feeling better but glad you are taking it away still, I am still waiting for my next surgery date, I'm not sure if you remember but I had ablation back in august 2014 that did not work so had the TAH BSO in July having still lot if pain they did a laparoscopy in December and removed some adhesions but I need a vertical laparoptomy to remove the mass on left side x I have signed and was sent straight round for pre op assessment so I thought ooo it won't be long but he said 4-6 weeks? I have emailed his secretary a few times just so I can tell work as I have been off since July. My husband calls me rhino skin haha due to adhesions bless xx carla I am also on hrt I am 44 and like froggy said as go into early menopause! I have been on 2 different and think need different as I am still emotional but unsure if this is because waiting for next op, you will be fined friend had it done 2 weeks before me and she said best thing ever xxxx good luck honey keep in touch xxx

I'm ok neatly 4 weeks post op now, I can mive around slot better now but the only problem I'm having is pain in my pelvis and lower back after a bowel motion,it only lasts a few hours i take some pain killers and it goes I'm not sure if this is normal it not but it does hurt. Also I get loerr back pain at nigh as Welk and this wakes me up every time I want to move The hot flushes and night sweats are bearable At the moment ha ha .

Can I ask what happened to you to yiu fir you to get these adhesions and this mass on your left hand side, was it anything you did it was it frim your hysterectomy surgery?

Awe thanks for your support means a lot, yeah I have had 2 x c sections and then I had laparoscopy to sterilise me and the ablation then I had open abdominal surgery for hysterectomy then again laparoscopy for investigation in December so adhesions caused by these surgeries but also I did too much and bending etc I feel caused this to worsen I know I'll be fine just got to get this one over with ️haha I'm like patchwork quilt haha xxx I'll keep in touch hon xxxx I feel the same wen having bowel movement hurts like hell also wen weeing I've got to also have eurodynamic test to check my bladder yay good to be a woman 😩😱 ha xx
