I am concerned something is wrong

Posted , 1 user is following.

I am 46 up to last summer I had very regular average periods . Suddenly they became irregular and very heavy to the point where I couldn't leave the house . To cut a long story short I had my last period in December and nothing until very end of February when I stated spotting I spotted every day for 3 weeks and suddenly became excessively heavy and have bled heavy now for a further week so haven't stopped for 1 month . I went to speak to doctor and she said I should have a scan and wait for appointment which would be approx a month. I am not on the pill .i am exhausted and feel very weak I am already disabled and it's making life very difficult with this bleeding does it sound familiar to anyone , thank you .

Yes it does. I also have had these issues and I cannot get the doctor to tell me a straight answer or reason why this happening much less a resolution. I kinda feel he is eliminating options as I suffer day in and day out with so much stuff. Its very frustrating.

In the same token, I feel better that i am not the only one going through this and that we can share with each other our concerns and maybe give each other some sense of releif.

Hi Izie , since I wrote this I have had blood tests which were inconclusive so having them repeated in couple of weeks , I am also going for a scan in 2 weeks still same problems and pain. I am sorry to hear that you are also going through this , your doctor could maybe do more ?? x x

I am thinking of going to a different dr. My dr put me on Provera for 10 days and now I am on birth control. Just started them a week ago but nothing changed with my cycle. I now have headaches, blurry vision and my heart rate is super fast. I try to walk real slow so I don't run out of breathe. Its embarrasing! I have to rush to the ladies room and take forever in there and when i get out i'm completely out of breathe. People in the office whisper as they see me walk back to my desk. Geez....

The dr wants me to stay on the pill for 3 months and told me if it continues he wants to do a scrape of my uterus and if that fails, he will discuss hysterectomy options.

Good luck with the scan and please keep us posted.

Hi Izie , I would go back to gp ASAP that does not sound good you may be reacting to the pills , the blurred vision and headaches , fast heart rate shouldn't be happening in my opinion , good luck x x
