Hi Stephanie. Try not to stress. The doctors are not always right. When my doctor was out I had to see another gyno. He said I had cervix inflammation and if I had an std he presumed chylmedia. I tested for that the week before and negative and then again with him still negative. He gave me medication to treat it anyways as a precaution. Then I came back because my symptoms were not improving. I told him I think I had herpes. He disagreed said I wasn't showing the signs. Took a culture. 30 min later after I left said he looked at my cervix more and said it "looked" like I had something caused by herpes and gave me Valtrex for 5 days to see if it would help. He never sent this supposed sample to get tested. I did an IGM and negative. Then I did an IgG and another IGM last week and still negative. Obviously it can take up to 90 days for anything to be found before you test positive so I'm not going to feel 100% until that time frame is up but the moral of the story is at this point in time I do not think I had herpes after all. I think I had a very bad bacterial infection and yeast infection and all the different antibiotics just made me worse. I think the yeast medication caused a skin allergy. The point i'm trying to make is don't stress. Some doctors even with 30 years experience in my case can be wrong. I'm not going back to see him anymore. I'm back with my female doctor. I can't trust someone who is merely taking guesses with my health. I am not a guinea pig.. It's not safe. I wish you the best and pray for negative results for you. Try not to worry and if anything get a second opinion. Hugs!

i know and i wish you the best as well....that doctor was over herself she stated that she is always right when it comes down to stds it rare when she is wrong,....pff that only made it worse.....but quick question do herpes sores crust before healing? reason why i ask is because the "sore " that i had did not rupped no bleeding no puss nor scabbed....it just burned when i peed...and the vaginal yeast that i have is mild because no itching and no odor just mild discharge

Herpes lesions only crust/scab if on normal skin, like the buttocks. If on mucous membranes, like the labia or perineum, they just heal, no scabbing. Mine did not hurt very much, only a bit sore to touch.

Good luck with the test results! Visual diagnoses are not always correct, so that's good you had it swabbed and your blood tested, too. Most people only seem to only do one or the other at first, which wastes time and doesn't give the full picture.
