I can have a bath!!!

Posted , 4 users are following.

been to doctor today - she is happy with my scar and said I could start having baths now. This will help remove surgical tape.  I,am still a bit wary and might wait till later on in the week

I also got a laxative and after taking it at 11 managed to go to he toilet at 12.30. Hurrah. I feel much better

can't believe that's nearly two weeks since op.

Let her see my HRT I received in hospital and she said she would not dispense this she would use patches or tablets. She would review in 4 weeks when I am due to go back. I think I will fight to keep this though as working well

also got a 4 week line

hopefully getting there now

    Hi Lee

Glad Dr has said you can have a bath nothing beats a lovely long soak..

What laxative did the Dr prescribe you I've got Drs tomorrow to sort out HRT and another sick note and I'm also having bowel issues.....

Went to see the nurse today and my wound is slightly infected have to have dressings again no showers and a course of antibiotics have to go back next week to get it checked....

How do they know what HRT to put you on?

      Hi Di

i got lactulose. It's a syrup. It was great.

I couldn't believe how quickly it worked.

I have oestrogel which is a gel I rub on my upper arm. Seems to be working a treat

      good luck for tomorrow

      Hi Lee,

That was a quick reacting laxative.I am going to see a nurse tomorrow at my surgery to have my staples removed.I am not looking forward to it.I am going to try and see my Dr in about a week or 2 to discuss my HRT and also a referral about my hernia.I have had a good day again today. My brother phoned me from New Zeaand to see how I was getting on.My Auntie came to visit and we went to a garden centre for lunch and a walk round. It was a beautiful warm day aswell.

That sounds lovely Teresa. I'm struggling to walk.

I get a heavy sensation when I'm on my feet.

I must have disposable stitches as I don't need any removed.

Sounds like you had a nice day.

Let me know how tomorrow goes.  Bet it's fine.
