I don't understand my results

Posted , 3 users are following.

I got tested for HSV-2 and the numbers are confusing. I'm only familiar with <0.9 = negative and >1.1 = positive but this test has totally different reference range. It says I'm "within reference interval"

Can someone please help me understand my results? Thank you

the question is after how many weeks did you do the test ?

I assume you mean how many weeks after my last sexual contact? I took this test 3 weeks after my last partner. If it's positive then I know I probably had it before that guy because it takes a while for antibodies to show up on IgG tests. I just want to know if this test means positive or negative

For this test it looks like anything less than 16 is negative and your result was a 2.28 so I'd say you're good. "Within reference interval" might just mean that your results were within the range of negative results, I am not sure about that part.
