Since I was 13, I suffer from acne and rosacea. I was always shy, not very talkative and self conscious. Now I'm 20 and my skin shows no improvement at all although I've tried everything. I take now anti conceptional pills because my ovaries are covered in cysts, but my skin, my hair and my mood is getting worse day by day. I cant talk to my parents because they say that i should get over it because i should have get used to it by now. When I was in highschool I've cried everyday, just seeing my face made me sick. I started to read and learn, I had just two friends, but they rarely texted or talked to me. Now I have a boyfriend and all I think about is why is he with me. Im so afraid of getting hurt. I just want to run and hide in a cave...i hate everything about myself. Im trapped in this sick body and I cant get out

Even starting treatment will lift your mood and hopefully your medical condition will then improve

I suffer Psoriasis of my skin and joints, a form of arthritis
I use Epaderm, Aquatious Cream in the bath and various steriod creams, all seem to cool the skin down and hep to retain moisture the first two creams can be purchased of script and are at least a nice cool alternative when having a bath. With the Aqu cream many use it like soap as it comes in large tubs.
Just a suggestionÂ

I did not see her for a year, then I saw her last month.
She had stopped eating dairy, sweets and glutton and her skin was, I swear perfect.

Hi,
Our body-image is so important to our mental health. Some of us never get over the things we hate about our physical appearance, or may go to extreme measures to try to change the way we look. Please try to focus on something about yourself that you like (maybe even make a list!) Your parents and family see past the surface and love you for who you are. And your boyfriend must love the person you are as well. I'm not trying to downplay your health issues. If there's one constant in life it is YOU. Mindfulness has helped me to accept things about myself that I never could before. It's also helped me to give other people the benefit of the doubt and not assume I know what they are thinking. Please look up "mindfulness" on the Internet if you have not heard of it before. Loving yourself can be very hard but it is the way forward. What we look like is pure biology but what we develop inside ourselves is in our control. Be kind to yourself :-) Hugs xx

Why not sit down with your bf and you both make a list of the things you love about one another. Only rule: honesty & trust :-)
Good luck xx

Great! I'm excited for you too now :-)
Just remember it is not a competition ;-) Accept gracefully and without reserve any compliments that are given to you. For some of us, receiving positive feedback is harder than giving compliments. Good luck x
