You will start to feel better soon once the carbimazole starts working but it does take a few weeks.
I've recently found a facebook group 'Graves Disease, Hyperthyroidism & Graves Eye Disease', they have loads of info in the files you have to ask to join as it is a closed group .
Lots of help & support on there.
I really recommend you research as much as possible, your endo will not tell you much & they only treat your symptoms not the underlying cause. It is not your thyroid that does not work properly it is a problem with your immune system.
Don't be pushed into making any long term decisions either, you will likely be told the only long term solution is to have most of your thyroid killed off with radioactive iodine treatment (RAI) or surgery for complete removal of the thyroid, both of which are irreversible so you need to understand what your options are, don't just go along with what the docs say.
I am trying to get well using alternative methods, it is really not easy but I believe it is the right thing for me because I never understood why no-one wanted to treat the cause not just the symptoms. I've recently found a naturopath who has said all of my health issues are down to mercury poisoning from my many amalgam fillings, again there is lots on line about this, the Natural Revoery Plan website has a lot of interesting info.
Good luck in your journey back to health & keep us updated.
Ann

The FB group name is Graves Disease, Hyperthyroidism & Graves Eye Disease, I just clicked to request to join, I think they vet people so that they don't have people who are trying to advertise stuff etc. See you there!
