I fell and my shin has been numb for three weeks.

So about three weeks ago I fell and hit my shin on a curb. It hurt really bad for a few hours, but didn't have any noticeable swelling and a bruise didn't even show up for at least two days. Even then the bruise was maybe the size of a half dollar.

Three weeks later, it's still very sore down the entire front of my shin, but only with pressure. The odd part is that the skin is numb. Like it's fallen asleep and it hasn't gotten better in the slightest. If I bump my shin into something it starts burning really bad, and sometimes just burns when I lay down to sleep.

Did I damage a nerve or something?
