I went to the doctor for std check last Tuesday due to some irregular moisture in my private area. The doctor asked if I wanted to be checked for herpes so I gave blood for that.. Two later I was called with the results. I have herpes type 2. I told the guy I have been having sex with and still 4 days later he hasn't been checked due to work. We have been involved for over a year so my concern is does he have it too??? I haven't had any signs..outbreaks or anything.. I have cried and cried.. I feel my love life is over I can't see myself ecplainging this to anyone

You don't need to worry too much. About a week ago I realised that I was getting a lot of pain on my vagina, and it looked like a cut.. So I left it. It's been a week now and I have gone through the worst pain I have ever felt in my life, worse than period pains, getting hit on the breast, anything! I went to the doctors today because I realised it isn't just a cut. And he said straight away that it's genital herpes.
My symptoms were that my tonsils inflated a lot, I had a lot of puss on them as well, I had a HUGE headache that would go away, my body felt weak. It almost was like I was suffering from the flu, but after a few days I woke up and my eyes were completly swollen. It was so hard too see, i was always constsntly tired. You will eventually have some sort of symptom. You're lucky that you know you have the GH now, so that you can prepare yourself for when your first outbreak occurs.
Your love life isn't over! You just need to tell your partner or future partners that you have this infection, with the help of medication the herpes will eventually go away, but unfortunately there's nothing that can cure it 100%, you'll always have the infection in your life. You can still have sex, but only when the outbreaks aren't happening, ALWAYS use protection, that's something I've learnt from this whole experience!! If you have any questions please feel free to ask me xx

So here is some encouragement to you. None of your friends will tell you they have it, but they have it, soooo many people have it and a scared to talk about it because of the stigma.
2 things you need to know moving forward, because you're going to have a healthy sex life AND you're going to find a man who either has it or not and will totally accept you for it, trust me, we're out there
okay.
1. When you find out you have herpes, diet becomes your most important shield. diet will hugely effect your outbreaks. I often say buy a juicer, and juice veges and fruits which help keeps your blood alkaline. Alkaline means your blood is rich with oxygen and herpes won't grow and you definitely won't see it.
2. Just google "olive leaf" and herpes. You will find it is one of the most effective treatments out there for herpes and it comes in topical as well as pill form. I specifically use a product called SOS olive leaf skin gel made by a Swiss cosmetic line called "oliveda." My results are freaking crazy. This gel I rub on the effected area has chased away herpes in under 48 hours so spontaneity is still available
