hi so i got these sores for the first time ever yesterday. i went and got swabbed and did a blood test today to see if its herpes. when i google herpes sores, none of them look anything like mine so im not 100% sure that i have herpes. my results come in in about 4 days so im kinda scared because ive been with the same person for about 2 months so im not sure how to tell him that i might have herpes. idk how long i couldve had it for or anything. i had gonorrhea about 3 months ago and i read that it could also cause sores and my vaginal feels exactly like it did when i got gonorrhea. can anyone tell me if this is herpes or maybe something else?

It does look like herpes but I am not a doctor. You did the right thing by going and getting them swabbed. Please let us know how you go x

Unfortunately it does appear that you have genital herpes. The doctor should have put you on antivirals while you wait for your results. I would call them back and have them phone in a prescription for you. I know how painful and uncomfortable it is. I don't think it is gonorrhea based on the ulcers, they are in clustes and look just like my genital herpes outbreak. Good luck, message me if you have any questions.

the pain is barely noticeable. when they first appeared yesterday i couldnt move without them hurting and then a few hours later the pain was almost all gone. i am kinda glad to hear that yours looked similar since i could not find any pictures that resembled mine. i just dont know how i got it since i had testing done 2 months ago when i had gonorrhea 😦 and ive been with the same person.

sorry to keep replying but i just read your initial post and noticed that you have HSV-1 which is kinda what i was thinking i have since i have no blisters and havent had any yet. brings me a little bit of relief right now as so many people have HSV-1.
