I had been taking zopiclone for 15 days

and after withdrawing 3 nights ago still only getting about 1 hours sleep very late in the night, has anyone else had withdrawal symptoms like this, how long could the re-bound insomnia last

    Yes! So why not try tryptophan from a good health food shop. If unavailable it occurs naturally in milk, bananas and turkey,

    I have met somebody addicted after one week of 2 mg a day!

    Another was given x50 - 10mg tablets of diazepam for back pain. He took one even after being warned, no we really begged him not to! I know this person very well.

    I called his sister, a nurse who had a real battle getting the pills from him. The pain was still there in the background pbut he said he wasn't thinking about it. Maybe he wasn't addicted but the seeds had been planted and in my experience he would have been!

    I've been off them 7 weeks after 13 years ! The sleeplessness is awful but I can tell you it's so worth it , speak to you gp there are other meds avaliable, I now go to bed same time every night and although I wake up early initially I was feeling so awful , but now I put news on and make a tea and get up , after so many early mornings I am sleeping was till 3/4 bought an eye mask and am now sleeping till 6.30/7 good luck you can get through it xxxx
