I had chronic sinusitis for about 3 mounth now. It started with severe pain behind the eyes and exterimly dry eyes. I also had swollen eye lids. After a month of puting up with that, I was put on amoxcicilan. That didn't work. The next antibiotic was biaxan. No luck with that. Now i have pain in the ears, in the forehead, and pain above the eye - not to mention the sinus headaches. Now I am developing severe depression because of it. Has anyone else felt like this? What do you think?

Hi, I had sinus infection with all your symptoms for 4-5 months, antibiotics did not work long term. Cat scan revealed clogged sinuses. Surgery 15 days ago. I was to also have deviated septum fixed while irrigation done, but infection was eating away at bone and cartilage. So only irrigation done. It was a mold fungus. I was pulling out large chunks of sinus shaped boogers prior. Doctor said he's never seen a case so bad. I couldn't move my left eye pre op without severe pain. The type of mold is still being analyzed but will post when known. I'm on liquid sporanox mixed with saline at 1/6 ratio with flushing sinuses 2x daily with mix. It's so much better after surgery. The packing was removed 1 week after surgery and was filled with bloody mucus goop. It was a dream after with breathing again. Severe headaches for 2 weeks post op, but dr. Feelgoods help. Please seek a nose dr for cat scan/X-ray immediately.

Oh my god! This is my absolute worst nightmare! Did the doctors suspect fungus or was it only discovered during your surgery?

I hope you are feeling back to normal by now.

      Kind regards.

Hi there, yes I have had these symptoms for most of my life, I've had xrays scans, I was told that my sinuses lookes extremely heathy!!! well I think I have tried everything there is to try, the only things that helped were menthol crystals inhaled in hot water, and Boots sinus soother spray, the spray really helped with the pain. I know how depressing this is you just want to go back as you were, just keep trying everything and  I'm sure you will find something to give you some help, good luck. Jox

For those who are suffering with chronic sinusitis, I hope my method would work. I had gone through years of allergies and sinus issues. Drained through surgical means twice to remove sinus congestion.

Take full glass of water with half to 3/4 spoon of salt and quarter spoon of baking soda (food grade) mix it in the water and heatup to nuke warm. Using nose bulb slowly pour the water into both the nostrils one after one. Slowly blow each nostral closing the other. Do it 2 or 3 times day when you have full congestion issues. You would observe all mucus comes out of your sinus. Repeat for a week atleast. You will get full relief within a day or two.

It woked very well for me. Hope you solve your problems without excessive antibiotics and decongestants.
